About Move for Medals

Hello and welcome to Move for Medals! This is a virtual challenge and fundraising community with a difference - it's not just about keeping active and achieving your goals, it's also about supporting great causes around the country.

I set up Move for Medals after seeing another company profiting from a Remembrance Sunday-themed medal, with none of the proceeds donated to any charities that work with Armed Forces personnel.

With Move for Medals, I pledged that every medal sold will directly benefit good causes because now, more than ever, we need to support each other.

Frequently Asked Questions

1How much does it cost?
Our medals generally cost between £10 and £15 depending on the production cost. Bigger and more elaborate medals cost more to make, so this might be reflected in the price!

Standard shipping to the UK is free, but you can pay a little extra for Royal Mail 1st Class postage if you need the medal quicker.

International shipping is charged at a flat rate of £5.
2How much of my entry fee is donated to charity?
At least £5 from the sale of every medal is donated to the charity that the medal supports.

Depending on the medal and our production costs, we may occasionally be able to donate more of your entry fee to the charity.

We make a small profit on each medal which is re-invested to produce more medals for more charities.
3What do I receive with my order?
You'll always receive the medal(s) that you ordered. Depending on the charity, we may have additional merchandise like stickers, badges etc. so you may receive some extra goodies (not guaranteed!)
4How long does delivery take?
Please allow 5-7 working days for delivery on all standard UK orders.

If you've paid for UK First Class delivery, you should receive your medal within 2-3 working days (to allow for dispatch time).

International delivery may vary, but we would advise that you wait 4 weeks from order before getting in touch.
5Can I order a medal as a gift?
Of course!

You can choose whether you'd like to send your order as a gift to someone else at the checkout.
6Can I take part from outside the UK?
Of course!

You'll need to pay an additional £5 to cover International postage.
7Can I choose which charity I want to support?
Each of our medals supports a selected charity, so you can choose the medal for a charity that you wish to support.

In the future, we plan to have more "generic" medals where you will be able to choose which charity receives your donation.
8How do I complete my challenge?
That's up to you!

Some medals might have a particular goal associated with them, for example "complete 13 miles" or "complete 10,000 steps a day for a month" . You can complete these challenges your own way, at your own pace, and take as much time as you need.

You don't need to provide evidence that you've completed your challenge - just remember only to reward yourself with your medal once you've done it!
9Do I need to prove that I've completed my challenge?
No - we'll post your medal out to you straight away, and you don't need to provide any evidence that you've completed the challenge associated with it.

Remember not to reward yourself with your medal until you've completed your challenge!
10I need to amend my details!
No problem! Send us a message with your order number and what you need to change, and we'll update it.
11Can I complete additional fundraising?
Absolutely, and what a great idea. If you think you can raise a bit more money for your chosen charity, why not look at setting up a fundraising page and encouraging donations from friends and family?

Websites like JustGiving and GoFundMe offer easy, free ways of getting donations. Remember that every penny raised for good causes makes a huge difference.
12Can I suggest a charity for a future medal?
Yes, you can! We're always looking to support other charities and working on designs for future medals.

If you've got a charity you'd like us to consider supporting, or even a design for a medal that you think we could put into production, then send it to us and we'll take a look!
